WAFarmersFirst milk celebrates milestone

WAFarmersFirst milk is celebrating a significant milestone with the sale of over 500,000 litres of milk since the product launched late last year.

Forty cents from the sale of every two litre bottle will be distributed via a project fund and other initiatives to assist the development of the dairy industry.

WAFarmers President Dale Park said the initiative is game-changing and the support has been overwhelmingly positive.

“Consumers are taking the opportunity available to them to support the agricultural industry in Western Australia, particularly its dairy farmers,” Mr Park said.

WAFarmers Dairy Council President Phil Depiazzi, who farms in Cowaramup, said it’s encouraging to see consumers using their buying power to support local industry.

“Reaching this significant milestone shows that consumers can and do support the WA dairy industry by choosing branded milk,” Mr Depiazzi said.

WAFarmersFirst is available in both full cream and hilo varieties at more than 80 Coles stores around Western Australia.
