AgConnectWA Regional Tour: Esperance

Date(s) - 16/03/2018
7:45 am - 8:00 pm

Carpark across the road from The Pier Hotel bottle shop

AgConnectWA is coming to Esperance on Friday 16 March! AgConnectWA loves getting out into the regions to show support for our members, broaden networks and promote educational opportunities in those areas, and we look forward to getting out and about in Esperance in March!

Involving two farm visits, a complimentary lunch, a tour of the Lucky Bay Brewing facility with optional tastings, and a networking sundowner at The Pier Hotel with a complimentary bar tab, this event will strengthen attendees’ agricultural understandings of the area, and will provide invaluable opportunities for attendees to learn more about what’s going on in the region and the people involved. The event will commence at 7.45am, and conclude in the evening with the sundowner, starting at 6.00pm.

Guests have the option of attending both the regional tour in the bus plus the sundowner, or attending just the sundowner. Places on the bus are STRICTLY LIMITED, but guests are more than welcome to follow the bus in their own car, should places run out. For guests travelling on the bus, meet at the carpark across the road from The Pier Hotel (near Noodle Wok) at 7.45am. Guests will be dropped off at The Pier Hotel in anticipation of the sundowner.

After about 10 years farming on my own, I was searching for a way to gain knowledge about farming, outside family members, but found it difficult to talk 'farming' with other farmers in the area. As my father had been a member of WAFarmers for a long time, I decided to go to a few meetings and see how it went. It wasn't long before I was 'roped in' and representing the zone. I enjoy on farm research and development information that I get from being a member.
