100%+ Club nomination reminder for sheep producers – DAFWA

Producers achieving a whole-farm average marking percentage of more than 100 per cent are eligible to nominate to the 100%+ Club for sheep producers.

DAFWA encourages producers to nominate themselves or someone they know who is achieving the percentage. The club is an opportunity for sheep producers to network and share information and expertise.

There is an awards night and special events throughout the year for members nominated to the club. Live export vessel and abattoir tours as well as talks from leading industry specialists in reproduction, management and genetics, are some of the opportunities available.

The 100%+ Club is open to sheep producers who run a minimum flock of 500 ewes and have reached 100 per cent lamb marking across the entire breeding flock (excluding ewe lambs) for the 2014 season, irrespective of breed.

The 100%+ Club is part of the More Sheep initiative, an industry-wide collaboration between the department and Sheep Industry Leadership Council to build the WA sheep flock.

Nominations close on 28 February 2015. Nomination forms are available on the department website or by contacting Katherine Davies on +61 (0)8 9690 2169 or email [email protected].
